How it works
How to study for the Mexican naturalization exam.
The app follows the same path every time: learn the facts, practice recognizing them, then widen the net.
1 · Learn
Learn one fact at a time.
209 anchor flashcards turn the material into a short cue and a clear answer. Together they cover every one of the 244 Core questions.

2 · Practice
Practice with an explanation every time.
Answer multiple-choice questions with the options shuffled on every showing. After each answer, a one-paragraph Contexto explains why.

3 · Go further
Go further once Core is solid.
392 Extended questions cover the less common material. Same explanations, and progress stays in three honest numbers.

Practice exam with the real rules — coming in the next update.
Confidence-based repetition
Rate how sure you were. The app does the scheduling.
After every card or question, tap how confident you felt, from 1 to 5. Mexico Ready brings back what you’re weak on and spaces out what you know.
- A wrong answer is never scheduled as mastered, however sure you felt.
- Progress is three honest numbers: cards, Core, and Extended. Never one blended pass probability.
- Sessions of 10 or 20, filtered by topic, Core or Extended, and focus: Recommended, Needs work, New, or Saved.
- 1: No idea
- 2: Vaguely
- 3: Hesitant
- 4: Knew it
- 5: Got it cold
Guía
The paperwork, personalized.
Answer five questions about your situation. The Guía tells you your modality, which exams you take, and the exact document list SRE publishes for it.
- Your modality and the years of residency it requires
- Which exams you take, and whether you skip the history exam
- Every document, with how to get it and a link to the official source

What do the Mexican citizenship test questions look like?
Three practice questions from the app, in Spanish like the exam: one most people know, and two that catch people out. Pick an answer to see the Contexto.

FAQ
Questions about the exam and the app.
Is this the official exam?
No. Mexico Ready is an independent study app and is not affiliated with the SRE or the Government of Mexico. The 636 practice questions are original study material written for the SRE history and culture exam. The exam itself is taken in person at an SRE office.
What’s on the Mexican naturalization exam?
The Examen de conocimientos sobre historia y cultura de México has 10 questions and a 10-minute limit, and you need 8 correct to pass. Everyone also takes a Spanish test: an interview, a reading, and a writing task, scored out of 6 with 5 to pass. Read how the exam works.
Is the exam in Spanish?
Yes, always. That’s why the practice questions in Mexico Ready are in Spanish too, while the interface and guidance can be in English or Spanish.
Do I need to take the exam if I’m over 60 or married to a Mexican?
If you’re 60 or older, a refugee, or under complementary protection, you skip the history and culture exam, but you still take the Spanish test. Marriage to a Mexican shortens the residency you need to 2 years; it doesn’t exempt you from the exam. The Guía in the app works this out for your situation.
Does the app work offline?
Yes. Everything is on your device, so you can study on a plane or anywhere without signal. If you use iCloud, your progress syncs between your iPhone and iPad.
Do you collect any data?
No. There’s no account, no email, no tracking, no ads, and no server. The App Store privacy label is Data Not Collected. Progress syncs through your own iCloud, which we can’t see.
Is it a subscription?
No. Start free with 60 Core questions, 40 flashcards, and the full Guía. Mexico Ready Pro unlocks everything for USD 14.99 as a one-time purchase, and Family Sharing is included.
Is there an Android version?
No. Mexico Ready is for iPhone and iPad, on iOS 17 or later.
